While the actual selection process for the editors can range from eldritch rituals to robotic heuristics - there isn’t a formal process for tumblr users.

Providing good descriptions, crediting appropriately, and meaningful tags can help separate an interesting post into an amazing post. Just focus on what you like. The content will, in time, speak for itself.
